Zhejiang Party School (ZPS), with its full name as the Party School of Zhejiang Provincial
Committee
of the Communist Party of China, was founded in the September of 1949. On December 1st, 1988,
Zhejiang Party School was honoured with another name --- Zhejiang Institute of Administration
(ZIA),
and from that day on, it has been operated in a system called “The Same Faculty and Staff
Working
under Two Names”. ZPS/ZIA is the highest educational and research institute supervised directly
by
the provincial government. Its duties include training civil servants, generating both academic
and
applied research about ideology and governance, and providing consultation to the government
