From July 1 to 5, the Annual Conference of the International Association of Schools and Institutes of Administration (IASIA) was held in Bloemfontein, South Africa. The theme of this year’s conference was “Alternative Service Delivery and Sustainable Societal Responsiveness”.  

Three faculty members from ZIA—Qu Qunping and You Chen from the Department of Public Administration, and Gao Mengran from the Department of Sociology and Culturology—shared their expertise, combining theory with practical insights while calling for foresight and research on patterns and trends. They presented three papers in English: “China’s Exploration of a Multi-Level Medical Security System to Promote Common Prosperity,” “Can Vertical Environmental Reforms Lower Air Pollution?—A Quasi-Natural Experiment from China,” and “How to Build a More Inclusive Immigrant Services System: A Case Study of Yiwu”, before engaging in discussions with experts and scholars from around the world.
