From July 7 to 15, Vice President Xu Minghua of ZIA led a delegation to Brazil and Peru.
In Brazil, the delegation visited the Fundação Getulio Vargas and the University of São Paulo, where they learned about the foundation’s functions, structure, and operations, then engaged in discussions on global economic development, China-Brazil economic interactions, and think tank cooperation.
While in Peru, the delegation visited the Peru International Political Institute, a key partner of ZIA. The two institutions reviewed their past collaborations and discussed future cooperation plans. Professor Wang Zuqiang of ZIA delivered a special lecture on “Zhejiang’s High-Quality Development and Establishment of a Common Prosperity Demonstration Zone”. Over 30 former Peruvian officials, experts, and scholars attended it.
The delegation engaged in discussions with Peruvian scholars on topics such as China-Peru trade, Zhejiang’s socio-economic development, and the establishment of a common prosperity demonstration zone. Following these discussions, the delegation and the Peruvian scholars participated in field trips and cultural exchange activities.
