On the morning of September 20, a delegation of Cuban women cadres headed by Osmayda Hernández Beleno, member of the National Secretariat of the Federation of Cuban Women (FMC) and the FMC’s Director of International Relations visited ZIA and was received by Vice President Lyu Qingmin.
During the meeting, Vice President Lyu shared an overview of the university’s mission, educational goals, and key strengths. Professors Wu Xingzhi, Director of the Zhejiang Development Strategy Research Institute, and Hu Wenmu, Deputy Director of the Institute of Marxism, gave lectures to the delegation. Wu spoke about “Adhering to and Advancing the New Era’s Fengqiao Experience”, while Hu discussed “Understanding Chinese Modernization: Its History and Significance”.
Ms. Osmayda Hernández Beleno expressed her gratitude for ZIA’s warm reception and the insightful lectures. She shared Cuba’s current efforts on relevant issues and emphasized the importance of dialogue. Highlighting the remarkable achievements of Chinese modernization, she noted their value as a reference for Cuba and expressed hope for further collaboration with ZIA in the future.
Representatives from the International Department of the CPC Central Committee, the All-China Women’s Federation, the Zhejiang Provincial Foreign Affairs Office, and ZIA’s International Cooperation and Exchange Office also participated in the exchange.
