From October 14 to 17, the Sixth Annual Meeting on China’s Sustainable Development Goals was held in Luanda, the capital of Angola, organized by Renmin University of China and the Chinese Embassy in Angola, centering around the theme “China-Africa Partnering for Modernization: Building a Shared Future for Humanity”. The opening ceremony, held on the 14th, featured speeches from Angela Braganca, secretary for policy and cadre development of the ruling People’s Movement for the Liberation of Angola (MPLA), Ambassador Zhang Bin of China to Angola, and Zhang Donggang, CPC Secretary of Renmin University. Peng Yufeng, a lecturer at ZIA’s Department of Marxist Ideology, delivered a keynote presentation on “The CPC’s Commitment to Serving the People and Poverty Alleviation Measures.” Peng highlighted how serving the people is at the heart of the CPC’s mission, and how targeted poverty alleviation is a powerful manifestation of this commitment—linking the pursuit of national well-being with the broader goal of global harmony.
In recent years, ZIA has leveraged international exchange platforms to encourage faculty participation in academic conferences, highlighting Zhejiang’s governance practices and contributing to global discussions by sharing China’s development story.
